Standard Product Overview
The New Standard line of PRO-SET epoxies offers versatile
resin/hardener combinations to accommodate a wide variety
of processes. PRO-SET standard epoxies are based on the
latest in formulation technology and the best raw
materials available for excellent performance.
Our standard epoxy systems allow you to select resin by
viscosity and hardener by speed. Uniform (3:1) mix ratios
allow for in-shop custom blends for maximum adaptability
to your proprietary processes.
All standard PRO-SET products are formulated,
manufactured at our Bay City, Michigan plant and are
competitively priced.
PRO-SET offers four discrete epoxy systems:
Laminating Epoxies
Within the system of Laminating Epoxies, any resin may be
used with any hardener for a "custom" epoxy blend.
Laminating hardeners are priced the same regardless of
cure speed, simplifying the builder's choice. Hardeners
may be blended to provide even greater versatility. Resin
comes in low viscosity, medium viscosity, thixotroped,
high-temp, and fire retardant. Hardeners come in fast,
medium, slow and extra slow cure speeds, and high-temp.
Parts can be cured at room temperature for solid physical
properties, or at elevated temperatures to obtain superior
physical properties for the most demanding applications.
PRO-SET Laminating resins and hardeners bear the prefix
LAM for easy differentiation from other PRO-SET products
when placing orders, and in your shop.
Infusion Epoxies
A vast range of process needs are accommodated with a
single resin (also available with fire retardant) and 4
blendable hardeners. Parts can be cured at room
temperature for solid physical properties, or at elevated
temperatures to obtain superior physical properties for
the most demanding applications.
PRO-SET Infusion resins and hardeners bear the prefix
INF for easy differentiation from other PRO-SET products
when placing orders, and in your shop.
Tooling Epoxies
PRO-SET Tooling Paste mixes easily, spreads smoothly,
creates a low-porosity surface for durable, stable molds.
Its shrinkage is less than 0.05%, and it may be used over
foam, composite and metal structures. Can be machined
after 8-hour cure at room temperature, or in a shorter
time at elevated temperatures.
PRO-SET Fairing Putty has low density, low shrinkage and
is easy to sand. Ready to sand in 8 hours, or in a shorter
time at elevated temperatures.
PRO-SET Tooling epoxies bear the prefix TLG for easy
differentiation from other PRO-SET products when placing
orders, and in your shop.
Assembly Adhesives
PRO-SET Assembly Adhesives are 2-part epoxies available
in fast, medium and slow speeds for a wide range of open
times, and are suitable for most all composite bonding
applications.
PRO-SET SuperToughened Adhesive delivers toughness and
superior peel strength for difficult to bond materials
such as pre-preg, SMC, metals and most plastics. It is the
best choice for heavily loaded applications requiring high
peel strength.
All PRO-SET Assembly Adhesives are available in No Color
(NC), Black (BK) and quality control green (QC). They come
packaged in cartridges, pails and drums.
PRO-SET Assembly Adhesives bear the prefix ADV for easy
differentiation from other PRO-SET products when placing
orders, and in your shop.
Process Equipment
PRO-SET Process Equipment includes metering pumps, manual
and pneumatic dispensing guns, mixing wands, impregnators
and quality control dyes.
